Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

This policy explains what information viewsqlitedatabase.com (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site or use our online SQLite viewer, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, email us at hello@viewsqlitedatabase.com.

The short version

  • Files you open in the viewer stay on your device. They are never uploaded to our server.
  • You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or email to use the site.
  • We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security and to keep the site running.
  • If you email us, we use your message only to reply.

Files you open in the SQLite viewer

The viewer runs the SQLite engine inside your web browser using WebAssembly. When you choose or drop a file, your browser reads it directly from your device and processes it there. The file and its contents are not sent to us, and we have no way to see them.

Any changes you make with SQL happen in a temporary copy held in your browser memory. That copy disappears when you close or reload the tab, unless you choose to download it. You can confirm the viewer works offline by loading the page, turning off your internet connection, and opening a file.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our web server and content delivery network record basic technical details when your browser requests a page. These server logs can include:

  • Your IP address
  • Your browser type and operating system
  • The page you requested and the page that referred you
  • The date and time of the request

We use this information only to deliver pages, keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix technical problems. We do not use it to build profiles of visitors or to identify you personally.

Information you give us

If you email us at hello@viewsqlitedatabase.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use this only to reply to you and to improve the site based on your feedback. Please do not send us database files. Describe the problem or send a screenshot instead.

Cookies

Visitors who read our guides or use the viewer do not need cookies from us. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. Our caching and hosting systems may use strictly necessary technical cookies to serve pages quickly and securely. Site administrators who log in to WordPress receive login cookies, which are not used for regular visitors.

Third-party services

We use a small number of services to run the site:

  • Hosting and content delivery: the site is hosted by Hostinger, which provides our web server and content delivery network and processes the server logs described above.
  • Google Fonts: our pages use the Poppins font, and some font files are loaded from Google servers. When this happens, Google receives your IP address and basic browser details. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Links to other websites: our guides link to sites such as the official SQLite documentation. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share information only with the service providers above so they can run the site for us, or when the law requires it.

How long we keep information

Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted. Emails you send us are kept only as long as we need them to handle your request.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how we use it. Because we collect very little, the only personal information we are likely to hold is in emails you have sent us. To make a request, email hello@viewsqlitedatabase.com. We will reply within 30 days.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because the viewer processes files in your browser, your database never travels across the internet to us. No website can be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email hello@viewsqlitedatabase.com and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
